Spicy lemon shrimp carbonara was so good! We started with the Lemon shrimp and hummus with bread. That was also tasty. Cool vibes in the basement of this old place. Service was great too.

Yummy, cozy spot! I imagine visiting on a snowy night after a day of skiing a big bowl of pasta is the perfect meal. We enjoyed a great meal to celebrate the end of our time in Steamboat. The calamari we ordered to start was good, but the main courses were absolutely delicious! I went with the chicken parm and my husband got the famous bison lasagna. Both were huge servings and such flavourful, comforting meals. A must visit when visiting Steamboat - we loved Mazzola's!

The food was amazing and filling and the service was very quick! Best part was feeling like you were in an italian bunker. If you get the spaghetti and meatballs you will love it.

We enjoyed a great meal at this restaurant. The white hummus had fantastic flavor and the bread was warm and soft. We both ordered the meat lover penne pasta. One would have fed both of us. There are a few stairs to get down to the restaurant from street level. They also have a few tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant

Our waitress was so sweet. The first thing I noticed about this restaurant was how lively it was. This is clearly a popular spot for a reason. They brought out warm fresh bread. We had to restrain ourselves from filling up on bread so we could eat our main dish and not was it hard. I ordered a nice white wine and the scallop fettuccine. It was delicious. This place stands out because of its great service and lively atmosphere.

What an amazing culinary experience with our server, Jen. I made reservations in advance per the previous Yelpers. We found street parking on Ninth street. There is a happy hour at the bar from 5-6 pm with half off appetizers and $2 off draft beers. So I opted out of a table in the back and sat at one of the three high top tables by the bar. My husband and I tried the mozarella sticks with marina sauce, made in house and a winner! We also got the mussels in a delicious wine sauce which they gave us an extra basket of bread for dipping. My husband ordeted a local Yampa valley beer (red ale) on draft which he liked. I ended up getting the garlic shrimp appetizer and small Caeser salad for my dinner, but was so full I could only eat the garlic shrimp which came in a fabulous wine sauce that I ended up enjoying like a soup after my shrimp was gone. Both the mussels and garlic shrimp came with a large, crusty bread that was delicious for dipping. My husband got a small Front Range pizza which he could only finish half. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert, but all those sauces for dipping were too good to resist! Jen was the best server, helpful and engaging and warm. She should get an award for friendly servers! Come here for a fabulous meal that you will remember fondly!

We were scrambling looking for dinner locations and stumbled across Mazzola. They have an open bar area with a full service for those who was not able to get a reservation like we did. We walked in around 6pm and lucky for us, there was no one at the bar as well as the 3 small tables near the bar. The bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable, he answered all our questions and helped us decide what to get. He is the one who will serve as the server if you're seating in this area. We ended up getting a chicken Caesar salad and a custom made pizza with pepperoni, jalapeño, and pineapple (this is our go to and wanted to compare our usual toppings to a new restaurant). The salad was very good and the chicken we added in to the salad was very large! We ended up getting a medium pizza and for 2 people we still had some slices leftover to take home! The pizza was very good! The pizza style is on the thinner side which we were okay with just an FYI if you were looking for something else. I will definitely be coming back!

Early dinner at Mazolla's after a day on the slopes. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. Unfortunately we were seated right in the thorough way, and as my chair was backed up the aisle I got bumped by people and staff walking by. There were plenty of open tables so we should have just asked to be moved further into the back room so I can't complain. We ordered mozzarella sticks to share for an appetizer which were hot, crunchy on the outside and delicious. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo which was creamy, and rich and the perfect size! We ordered one of the huge, famous meatballs to share but felt it was a little too dense. Atmosphere was super cozy, like an old fashioned 1920's Italian restaurant. You had to walk downstairs so restaurant is u. The basement. It was dark, with red walls, dark furniture and table side candles. Service was quick, very friendly and amazing with all hands on deck and everyone helping. I would come back again to try other things on the menu that looked interesting, as well as their pizza.

Wonderful experience at Mazzola's. The gentleman at the host stand was super friendly and accommodated our walk in party of 4. Waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free menu items. I had the gf Americano pizza, it's the best I've ever had. Our table also had the family Mazzola's salad (very good), ravioli, chicken piccata, and the margherita pizza, all were great. Our new favorite restaurant in Steamboat!
